Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TariffSmart, provided by TariffSmart Energy Ltd (company number 17340814). By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

What TariffSmart does

TariffSmart reads the consumption data from an energy bill you upload — half-hourly electricity data and, where present, gas usage for the billing period — and estimates what different energy tariffs would cost you. It is a comparison and estimation tool.

Important disclaimers

• Comparison results are estimates, not guarantees. They are calculated from the usage data extracted from your bill and the tariff rates we have on record — actual costs on a real tariff can differ.
• Tariff rates are shown as of the "rates verified" date displayed against each tariff. Rates change. Always confirm the current rate with the supplier directly before switching.
• TariffSmart does not provide financial advice. Nothing on this service should be treated as a recommendation to buy, switch, or not switch a particular product.
• We are not currently paid by energy suppliers for comparisons or switches shown on TariffSmart. If this changes in future (for example, through an affiliate or referral arrangement), this section will be updated to disclose it.

Acceptable use

You agree to use TariffSmart only for your own personal energy tariff comparison, to provide accurate information, and not to misuse the service — including attempting to disrupt it, access other users' data, or upload documents that are not your own genuine energy bills.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

Liability

TariffSmart is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from your use of the service, including any decision made on the basis of a comparison result. This does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
